Pregnancy Pregnancy is when the woman is carrying a fetus inside her uterus. This is the period beginning from the conception until the birth of the infant. You can easily determine whether a woman is pregnant or not. There are common symptoms among pregnant women that you will notice in order for you to know that a women is pregnant.
Missing the Period The most common symptom in pregnancy is when a woman misses her period. When a woman misses her period, it may be an indicator that she is pregnant. However, there are other reasons why a woman misses her period besides pregnancy. Stress, weight loss, and diseases may cause a woman to miss her period. Missing periods may also be caused by the polycystic ovary syndrome. There are also other women who experience their period every other month. So to make sure that the reason for missing period is pregnancy, it would be better to check for the other symptoms. Breast Size
When the woman's breast changes in size and shape, then it also indicate pregnancy. The change of breast is another important symptom to be checked. This will happen right after conception. This will happen because the breast of the woman needs to be prepared for feeding the infant. The woman will feel a twinkling and sharp sensation when her breast changes during pregnancy. Nausea and Vomiting Nausea and vomiting are another very common symptom among pregnant women. Most people would call this symptom as the morning illness. During the fifth and sixth week of pregnancy, women may also feel sick and nauseated. The morning illness symptom usually starts during the second week of pregnancy. Each pregnant woman experiences a different degree of nausea and vomiting. This symptom will not last for the entire pregnancy as it will end around the 3rd or 4th month of pregnancy. Pregnant women usually feels tired and fatigue with this symptom. Frequent Urination The bladder of the pregnant woman reduces in size, which is why she urinates frequently. This is another important symptom of being pregnant. Taste and Smell The taste and smell of pregnant women also changes. This is an important symptom that you may recognize to determine whether or not a woman is pregnant. They start to hate other foods and like new ones. Clinical Check if you have confirmed all the above symptoms, it would still be best if you have a clinical check up to make sure whether or not you are really pregnant. You can also check the HCG in your urine if you want to do a check up at home. If the HCG home check up has a positive result, then have an appointment with your doctor immediately for confirmation and to begin the follow up for your pregnancy. A blood check may also be used to confirm pregnancy. The obstetrician may also confirm your pregnancy by conducting examinations during the 4th or 6th week of pregnancy. If you vaginal tissues thicken and your uterus softens, then it can be confirmed that you are pregnant.
